If You are Involved in an Accident:

  1. Stay at the scene and assist those in danger. Do not leave.

  2. Call law enforcement authorities.

  3. Do not discuss what happened, how the accident occured with anyone but police or your insurance company.

  4. Write down the names and addresses of involved parties and witnesses.

  5. Drive or have your vehicle towed to a collision repair center for an estimate.

  6. Notify your insurance company of the accident.

Facts You Should Know About Repairing Your Vehicle:

  1. You are not required to get more than one estimate.

  2. You may be able to take your vehicle to the repair center of your choice. Check your policy over BEFORE sending your vehicle in for repairs.  Understand your rights.

  3. The vehicle owner is the only one who can authorize repairs on his/her vehicle.

  4. Repair estimates will vary.  A lower estimate may not include necessary things. It’s your vehicle, make sure it’s repaired to your satisfaction.

How to Protect Your Vehicle Finish:

  1. Never take your car to a car wash that use hard rotating brushes and harsh cleaners. Always use soft cloths when washing your vehicle and mild soap.

  2. Wax at least twice a year, but no more than once every 3 months.

  3. Immediately wash off any gas, oil, or fluid spills of any kind immediately with soap and water. Do not just wipe off with a paper towel.

  4. Wash off bird droppings, tree sap, splattered insects or other signs of contamination immediately, before they have time to dry and harden.
